Amazing out-of-the-way place (near the airport) with a great selection of food. I had the katsudon (one of my favorite Japanese dishes) and it was ichiban. To top it off, the atmosphere was great. I really had a hard time deciding what to try, so I guess I will have to go back...maybe several times!

Went with a small group and truthfully was not sure what to expect. But wow, the food there was incredible. I had the GyÅ«don with a bowl of clear onion soup, salad, and an order of Iwataya rolls. Everyone enjoyed their food and loved the grocery store right next door. I will definitely be going back.

I love the rice balls, and katsu pork cutlet in curry. The sushi is better than the standard fare locally.

I do not recall that being on Iwataya's current menu. If this was an old menu item, you might ask a waitress or the owner if they can still make it since they still might carry the ingredients.

Yes, they sell them at the entrance.

They do indeed have gift cards, I just received on for my birthday a few weeks ago.
